HOMEMADE BREAD

There are many theories about bread, for instance that is bad for you. I don’t believe in any of them. Backed products available in the grocery stores are full of unhealthy ingredients, like: chemical dough conditioners, sugar, artificial flavoring or coloring. The truth is that you need only 4 ingredients in order to make bread, such as whole-wheat flour, yeast, warm water and olive oil. Easy, right? That is why I make my own bread at home. Homemade bread is not only healthy but also tastes delicious…ups…. another piece is gone…

If you still are not sure about making your own bread at home, I will be happy to give you more reasons why this is worth your effort. First of all, as I mentioned it before the stored-bought bread has many preservatives. The big bread companies produce their product that it will last longer on the shelves. So, the company did not really think about your health but about their money.  Another reason is that if you make your bread at home, you put the ingredients and you know what are you putting there. So, it is much easier to make it healthy.

As, the main reason what make me bake my homemade bread is the amazing flavor, what any other store-bought bread cannot give you.

Ingredients:

3 cups of whole wheat flour

2 teaspoons of yeast

350 ml warm water

1 tablespoon of olive oil

I also added:

1.5 teaspoons of salt and

1 tablespoon of honey

 

Mix together. Make the dough. Spread some olive oil with flour on the bottom of the baking pan. Put the dough into baking pan.  Cover with the little towel and leave it in the warm place for around 1 hour and 30 minutes to let it grow. In the meantime, preheat the oven and bake it in 395F for 40 minutes.
