WHOLE WHEAT FUSILLI WITH BASIL PESTO

As I like to eat clean food that it is simple to make, pasta is always one of the fastest rich in carbohydrates meals. When looking for the right sources of carbohydrates, always choose the whole wheat, because they are rich in fiber. For this meal, I chose whole wheat FUSILLI pasta from @wholefoods.The green sauce, it is basically homemade pesto made out of basil, walnuts, garlic, black pepper, salt and olive oil. Just blend all of the ingredients together and mix it with pasta. 

Ingredients:

1 package of Fusili pasta

some olive oil

fresh basil

1 handful of walnuts

2-3 pieces of garlic

some black pepper

1/2 teaspoon of salt 

2 tablespoons of olive oil

Directions:

  1. Boil the pasta in the water.
  2. In the blender, mix basil, walnuts, garlic, pepper, salt and olive oil.
  3. Rise the pasta, add some olive oil and mix it.
  4. Add pesto to the pasta.
  5. Serve with fresh tomatoes.
