Why should you drink fresh green SMOOTHIES and JUICES?

There are many benefits of drinking smoothies from fresh vegetables and fruits.

Some of them are:
•vegetables in the juices are easier to digest
•your immune system improves
•helping with weight loss
•your body gets detoxed
•you will feel more energetic
•they work better than coffee
•skin will look refreshed, healthy and glow
•hair will be stronger

Also, smoothies are amazing if you want to make your children to eat more vegetables and fruits. I am sure, they are not going to refuse making and drinking colorful smoothies, because it is a lot of fun.

What is great about smoothies is that blended fruits and vegetables contain a lot of fiber, so you will feel full. Also, because of green vegetables, the smoothie will give you more energy – this is what do I like the most about drinking smoothies. I do not need to drink coffee. Smoothie between breakfast and lunch or after workout is the best way to boost your energy level.

What do you need to make green smoothie?

As a base, you can use spinach, lettuce, kale and collard greens. I am also a huge fun of fresh parsley. The herb has a good influence on your skin. It helps heal wounds, has anti-aging benefits, and even helps prevent acne. Parsley contains many minerals for instance calcium, potassium, manganese, copper, and zinc – which are essential for maintaining healthy skin.

Next, just combine fruits as bananas, apples, pears, avocado, mango, pineapple, papaya whatever you like.

To make it healthier, add spirulina or chlorella powder. Spirulina and chlorella are green algeas which have a lot of protein. I like to add it to my post workout smoothies. You can buy it online or in every healthy store.

 

You should try this:

Spinach Apple Smoothie

(2 handfuls of spinach, medium apple, ½ cucumber, ½ cup of water, 1 tablespoon of agave syrup. 1 tablespoon of lemon juice)

Post-workout Pineapple Smoothie

(2 handfuls of spinach, ½ cup of pineapple, some parsley, ½ lemon)

Amazing Yuliia’s Smoothie

(1 handful spinach, 1 handful kale, ½ cup of almond milk, 1 teaspoon of almond butter, 1 banana 1 teaspoon of hemp seeds)

Green Moringa Smoothie

(2 handfuls of kale, 1 banana, ½ cup of cut pineapple, some parsley, 1 teaspoon of moringa powder)

Spirulina Green Smoothie

(2 handfuls spinach, some parsley, 1 banana, 2 kiwis, 1 teaspoon of spirulina powder)

Spinach Sweet Green Smoothie

(1 handful spinach, ½ cup of cut pineapple, 1/2 banana, ½ mango).

Summer is coming! We all can feel that. During the hot days, you should remember about drinking more water to stay hydrated. But what if you do not feel like drinking water? Fresh smoothie is always a good idea. Smoothies made from fresh veggies and fruits are full of vitamins and right nutrients. They are very easy and quick to make. And the most important they are delicious. You should definitely try this one with pineapple.

When choosing a pineapple, remember that the heavier it is, the better; this means that it is ripe. It is good when, a pineapple that has dark green leaves. You can smell the pineapple to recognize whether or not it is ripe.

Pineapple is available in your grocery store all year long but its peak season is from March to July. You can frequently find frozen pineapple in most major grocery stores, which is an easy way to add it to smoothies as well.

Ingredients:

1 cup cut pineapple

½ ripe mango

1 cup of coconut water

Directions:

This is one of my best friend favorite meal – Rebecca’s. Ever since we have come to the United States and have been looking for healthy food ideas. We had not that much time those days and wanted to eat something healthy and rich in nutrients. So, I started to combine random ingredients together and that’s how this tasty dish was made. 
I used to use buckwheat, however this time I went for the black rice. It fits perfectly with sweet potatoes and peppers as well.

Ingredients:

1 cup of black rice / buckwheat

some olive oil

½ onion

2 pieces of garlic

1 sweet potato

1 yellow pepper

1 red pepper

1/2 teaspoon of pink salt

some spicy pepper

some fresh parsley

Directions:

  1. Cook 1 cup of black rice or buckwheat in 2 cups of water.
  2. In the meantime, wash, pill and cut the vegetables into squares.
  3. Heat the olive oil on the pot and fry onion and grounded garlic.
  4. Add vegetables to it and fry till they will be soft.
