BUCKWHEAT BARS
Carbohydrates have a bad fame, we all know that. However, it is only partially true because its quality is what matters. For this reason, I really want to encourage you to choose grains which are a healthy kind of carbohydrate!
I came up with an idea of making BUCKWHEAT BARS! I secretly used this amazing grain and combined it with dates, oats, flax seeds and cranberries. All the good stuff. They are so delicious and healthy. You should try them out. Children would love them.
Buckwheat is actually a seed that is high in protein and fiber. It supports heart health and can help prevent diabetes and digestive disorders. In fact, buckwheat is one of superfoods, because its groats contain many good nutrients and antioxidants.
Even its name has a ending ,,wheat’’, buckwheat doesn’t contain any wheat, what means that it is gluten-free. That is why, it can be used in many gluten-free baked products.
Ingredients:
200 g of Dates
1 cup of uncooked buckwheat
1 cup of old fashioned oats
⅓ cup of Flax seeds
Some cranberries
Directions:
- Soak the dates in a hot water for 15 minutes.
- Blend it by using blender.
- Place it, in the bowl. Mix it with buckwheat, oats, flax seeds and cranberries.
- Spread and flat on a baking pan.
- Put them to the freezer for about 40 minutes to 1 hour.
- After cut into rectangles and keep in the fridge.
