HOMEMADE GRANOLA
There is nothing better than crunchy granola with milk or plain yogurt for breakfast. It’s an enormous amount of energy and health for your body. There are many kinds of granola that you can buy, but have you ever checked the ingredients on the bag? Most of them have a lot of sugar or sweet syrup added. You can easily avoid them by making your own healthy granola at home. Of course, as for the main ingredient we would use…oats! My favorite type of oats is old fashioned ones. The rest opts for you.
To make my granola I have used:
1 cup of old fashioned oats
1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup of sunflower seeds
1/2cup of flax seeds
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2cup of coconut flakes
2 hands of almonds
Combine everything in the bowl and add 3 spoons of honey. Next, on a baking sheet lined with wax paper form a single layer of the oat mixture. On a baking sheet lined with wax paper form a single layer of the oat mixture and bake it for 20-25 minutes in the oven preheated to 200 F. Stir it from time to time during the baking.
I love the smell of baked granola. In the end, you can add even more ingredients as dry fruits or goji berries. Play with ingredients to make your favorite one. But remember add them after the baking. Your granola is ready. Very crunchy and delicious.
Bon appetite!
